THE INSTALLATION

Working around the client, and the ground.

For our client’s catering operation at Latitude Festival, VCS supplied two 2.4 m walk-in freezers and one 4.8 m walk-in fridge. The rooms were lined up facing one another, right next to the catering tent, keeping chilled and frozen supplies close to the team.

All three rooms came with racking, giving the catering team organised storage and clear access to their stock.

The uneven ground needed extra attention. Each room was raised off the ground on timber and supported to accommodate the site conditions, creating a level base for the installation.

On site when the client needed us.

The installation took place in the evening to fit around our client’s requirements. With a long drive home afterwards, it meant a late-night return for the team—but making the setup work for the client was the priority.

Festival sites rarely offer a standard working day or a perfectly level footprint. This project shows how we adapt the installation and timing to suit the job.
